Radiohead live at Coachella [Weekend 1] – Live Report

Tonight, Radiohead will be headlining the first Saturday of the Coachella Festival in California. According to Coachella’s timetable the band will hit the stage at 11:05pm.

While much of the festival is being broadcast live, Radiohead are not featured on today’s broadcast schedule. However, there is a TBA slot at 11:05 which needs to be filled by someone. Why not Radiohead?

UPDATE: Coachella have confirmed that Radiohead’s set will be broadcast at 11:05pm PDT tonight. Saturday night = planned. Check it out here.

Coachella #1 is done with a pretty festival friendly set (at least by 2012 Radiohead standards). Up next are two shows in Mexico City before the band returns for Coachella #2 next weekend.

Go to ustream.tv and set up a free account. You can then stream live or record and post later.

Festivals almost always have shorter sets but that being said if they play 55 mins that would be a crime against humanity. In the past they have played like 20-21 songs at festivals vs 23-24. So maybe 90 mins sounds about right.
I was at the 2004 show at Coachella and it pretty much sucked IMHO. Way too many people and the sound was swirling around. If you recall Thom had just been sick in Australia before the Coachella show which didn’t help much either.

I just added the TBA 11:05pm to my iCal and it scheduled it from 11:05-12:35am So exactly 90 mins.

Thanks for the hell Sarah, but I wish I was at coachella…nsfw is right…professionally shot radiohead is amazing and since it seems they will never release a formal DVD (besides Astoria, I.e. bonnaroo) this is the next best thing…I hope the set is similar to San Jose…

Looks like they will be on Camera 1. I just watched the Kaiser Chiefs on Camera 1 and it is in HD and they use multiple camera angles. Should be freakin’ amazing!
