Thom Yorke dances again in Atoms For Peace video Ingenue

After Radiohead’s Lotus Flower video, Thom Yorke put his dancing shoes on again. This time in the new Atoms For Peace video Ingenue.

‘Ingenue’ is taken from Atoms For Peace’s new album Amok, released this week on XL Recordings. The video was conceived and directed by Garth Jennings and choreographed by Wayne McGregor, the same team behind Radiohead’s ‘Lotus Flower’ video. Thom is joined onstage by contemporary dancer Fukiko Takase.

    the video is embarrassing. however, the song & the whole record are absolutely amazing. i can’t believe someone who can create such innovative & beautiful music accepts to participate in such a ridiculous clip.

    This is so delicate, so vulnerable, I loved it. I actually wasn’t planning on purchasing Amok, but I will now, so the video did its financial job as well as its artistic one for me. :)

    There is a humorous aspect to this, that kinda makes it OK for Thom to dance. Great stuff.

    Interpretive dancing is perceived as pretentious these days, for better or worse. I am liking the videos, very simple and plays to what makes Thom’s dancing entertaining to watch. The Chaplin theme in Lotus Flower was a nice touch. Amok was well worth the wait for me.
