Colin Greenwood stand in for Jarvis Cocker on BBC 6Music

Colin Greenwood will be standing in for Jarvis Cocker on BBC 6Music this month.

Starting Sunday July 7th (at 16:00 hrs), the Radiohead bass player will host the BBC 6 Music radio show Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday Service three times, replacing the Pulp frontman.

Colin invites his brother Jonny Greenwood along for the first show as they re-enact their post-gig tourbus throwdown. As they travel between concerts, each one takes it in turn to play an influential and much loved tune in the hope that it’s universally appreciated.

Adam Buxton is along for the ride in necessary role of compere and tour manager.

  • wow! everyone has waiting

  • Great interview, great song choices, very interesting discussions with Colin and Johnny about the things that matter to the fans, such as what they get up to in the tour bus, what they’re listening to and how Johnny manages with all his instrument switching.

They also shared an amusing anecdote about the one time they took to stage drunk (Pittsburgh – 1993).

  • This is interesting information and hopefully the wait will have good response.
