RADIOHEAD: COM LAG: 2+2=5
In January 2004, it was revealed that a Japanese tour EP was going to get a release in March of that year. A video of 2+2=5 from Radiohead's peformance at the Belfort Festival was set to be included on the Japan-only CD. The artwork resesembled the style of the Kid A/Amnesiac era, which was unexpected since Radiohead released Hail To The Thief a year before and most tracks were b-sides from the Hail To The Thief singles.Just after the release of the Com Lag EP it has become clear that Four Tet's remix of Scatterbrain, entitled 'Skttrbrain' has a very annoying sound hiss, which occurs a couple of times throughout the track, the first one after only three seconds. The CDs have been recalled by EMI Toshiba because of the mastering error. So the current release will remain as limited as it is now. An Australian version of the Com Lag EP was announced and was released without the error. Later on a Canadian version was released as well. And only a month later the disc was also out in Mexico, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Spain and Sweden. Three years later Com Lag (2plus2isfive) finally got a USA (April 16th 2007) and UK (May 8th 2007) release.
