On December 10th 1998 Amnesty International celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Human Rights Declaration. A concert in Paris (Palais Omnisports Bercy) was held wih Radiohead as the headlining band of this festival. Street Spirit [fade out] was announced by Thom as follows: "I know it'll probably gonna sound really corny, but this one is for everyone being mistreated by their government. that's for human rights. If anybody knows what it is. let's hope you don't get tired of hearing about it."

Amnesty
