Radiohead played their second night at Copenhagen's KB Hallen with a similar set as the night before. In a sold out and hot venue the band played new songs '15 Step', 'Bangers 'n Mash', 'Spooks', 'Arpeggi', 'Open Pick' & 'House of Cards'. And 'Nude' was included again.

Review by David Tully

People often ask me whether, by going to see the same band night after night
that it gets a bit repetetive. I laugh in the face of such nonsense.
Radiohead played a better setlist tonight than they did the night before (no
mean feat), where they swapped 6 songs that they had not played the night
before. Things were moved around a little and they managed to include 6 of
their new songs in the 22 song listing.

They seemed more relaxed and polished this evening. Black Star was done to
perfection.

Tonight we went in search of better accoustics. After seeing where the VIPs
had been sat the night before, we went and sat four rows behind that spot.
It certainly cured the echo that had troubled us, but it had the undesirable
effect of having to sit down to accommodate pregnant women and Viking Danes
that knew none of the words and kept shouting for Creep. At least we saw
more of Jonny than the brief glimpse of his limp fringe that occasionally
came into view on Saturday evening from our side seat. Next time, we are
diving into the crowd to feeeel the music.

The set managed to get the right balance between very beaty music and the
softer tunes. There were goosebump moments during Exit Music, How to
Disappear Completely and Fake Plastic Trees. The National Anthem, I Might
Be Wrong and There There were great. The new songs are growing on us. We
loved 15 Step and Spooks (I think Thom was gurning rather than singing, so I
don't need to worry about missing the lyrics). We had heard Arpeggi at the
Royal Festival Hall with Thom and Jonny accompanied by the London
Sinfonietta and it was beautiful and swirling. I thought the full band
version had too much cymbals on it, but it was still beautiful and it will
grow on me.

Trace and I were miffed that a bunch of people were allowed to stay behind
as the Security guards cleared the hall of people before they cleared the
hall of technical equipment and 2 dimensional plastic glasses. These people
looked as though they had won phone-in competitions on Radio KB FM and they
were whisked off to the Green Room to meet the best band on the planet. Or
perhaps they were the muppets that heckled during Exit Music and they were
to be exterminated. Either way, Trace's pleadings with the "Security
Supervisor" did not work, so we are back at the hotel, as Copenhagen takes
its pavements in at 11:30pm on a Sunday evening.

Our next one is Blackpool on Friday and we would like to put in a request
for "The Tourist" and "Talk-Show Host". Trace has already chosen her gown
for the Empress Ballroom and I have checked that my winkle-picker shoes will
be ready from the cobblers by then.
