'Parrots Nest' next Radiohead single
Parrots Nest is the title of the new Radiohead single. The single will be released with a video done by video designers CoCoa Creative. According to CoCoa Creative the track is the first of Radiohead's sixth studio album.
There are some sites like CDNow, who have listed The Bends 2 [limited edition], which should be released on June 11th. I don't think this will be anything new, probably a re-release of the Japanese edition of The Bends.
AT EASE was down for almost twelve hours today. The site is back online for now and hopefully it will be again for a long time. I'm working on a solution to prevent this from happening again.

Thom mentioned on Conan
Thom Yorke was mentioned on Conan O'Brien las night, where he did the sketch " If They Mated'' and the pictures of Meg Ryan and Craig Bierko were combined by computer. The result was a hideous blonde person with one of the eyes drooping. After seeing the picture, Conan said, "It looks like Thom Yorke from Radiohead!'' The audience booed the obviously unfunny joke. Thom Yorke debuts Rabbit in Your Headlights live with DJ Shadow
It seems that Thom Yorke performed live with DJ Shadow at the Bristol Academy last night (May 19th). DJ Shadow, who has recorded Rabbit In Your Headlights with Thom Yorke in an UNKLE collaboration in 1998, played the song live for the first time with Thom on vocals. In recent interviews DJ Shadow mentioned that he is a big Radiohead fan and that he would like to work with them. DJ Shadow will perform live again tonight in the sold out London Astoria. [thanks gravey]

Elvis Costello on Radiohead
Elvis Costello was asked the following question: What do you think about bands like Radiohead and Muse? Thought "Kid A" and "Amnesiac" were two very fine records. Love "Morning Bell". Thanks for the recommendation on Muse. [thanks ian]

Radiohead tickets delayed
For those who ordered tickets for the upcoming Radiohead through W.A.S.T.E.will have to wait a little while longer. The tickets were supposed to be sent before May 1st, but the printing got held up for some reason and caused a delay. So, don't worry everything is absolutely fine. All tickets are at W.A.S.T.E. and allocated to their rightful owners. They will be sent out over the next week. [thanks Mieke]
It's not that unusual to see minor celebrities on Toronto's 501 Queen streetcar. When you're a touring rock star or an environmentally friendly hipster living downtown, you usually a) can't afford your own car and b) have to get around somehow. That said, it's an entirely different scenario when you seemingly spot rock royalty casually riding around on the Red Rocket. And that's where, at around 10 a.m. this morning, ChartAttack spotted what looked to be Radiohead's frontman Thom Yorke. Here's the full story [thanks Marla]

Exit Music in Unfaithful
Some people have e-mailed about Exit Music being in the movie "Unfaithful". Near the middle of the film there is a piano piece that seems like the score of Exit Music. The score for Unfaithful is credited to acclaimed Polish composer Jan A. P. Kaczmarek. So, at the moment it doesn't seem likely that Radiohead have contributed to this film. The soundtrack debuts today in the USA. [thanks mach]

News in brief
Entertainment Weekly just published Jack Black's personal top 5 albums of all time (or of right now). See the 4/21 issue (p. 73) for the full hilarity. But here's some of what Jack said to reporter Dan Snierson about his favorites:
1. The Bends by Radiohead: "The best band in the history of rock"
2. Exile in Guyville by Liz Phair: "So complex and delicious"
3. Freedom of Choice by Devo: "a genius theatrically" and "kick-ass tunes"
4. We Sold Our Souls for Rock and Roll by Black Sabbath: "This album is
a capsule of a romantic time when Satan was real"
5. Surfer Rosa by The Pixies: "so primal and original"
After the interview, Jack remembered AC/DC's Back in Black: "It kicks all those albums' asses" [thanks A.J.]
DJ Shadow is considering the Radiohead approach to media as he says on his website, djshadow.com.. The band are only mentioned once, but he's still thinking of the boys. On the site, click FASTFORWARD, then it's in Shadow's Digest [thanks jack]
Check out a new site dedicated to the waste game, called www.waste-game-news.com, with news on the waste games.
Radiohead's Street Spirit video came in fifth on VH1's poll of the greatest vids. (ahead of thriller!!!) [thanks ben]
