Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich just posted the biggest tease on Radiohead's Dead Air Space so far. The post is accompanied by a video which includes snippets of 'Open Pick', 'All I Need', 'Down Is The New Up', 'Arpgeggi' and 'Bangers 'n Mash'
Nigel wrote the following:
a bit of tape from the studio

How time flies... Tomorrow (June 16th) is officially the 10th anniversary of Radiohead's third album 'OK Computer'. After its release on June 16th 1997, the album received rave reviews and quite soon after it was labelled as a masterpiece.
Over the past 10 years 'OK Computer' topped many and most 'Best Album of All Time'-lists, selling over 2 million copies worldwide. 'OK Computer' was the first record produced by - now longtime producer - Nigel Godrich. To the surprise of the band themselves Radiohead were (and probably still are) considered the best 'alternative' band instantly, influencing many new bands and receiving a lot of appreciation from established artists. The impact on the band, fans and media was quite well documented in Grant Gee's film 'Meeting People Is Easy'.
Anyway, back to celebrating OK Computer; BBC 6 Music are having a 'Death Of Britpop day' today. Steve Lamacq this evening will be focussing on OK Computer and playing old interviews and sessions from 1997. Show starts at 1600 hrs.
'OK Computer' also played a big role for this site. Radiohead At Ease was founded a while before the release of the album and I can remember picking up a copy on a Friday (!) before the release date. It completely blew me away and played it over and over again, which was the perfect preperation for Radiohead's show at the relatively small Vredenburg in Utrecht only 11 days later. [Listen to 'The Tourist' from that show (June 24th 1997) over at FineFineMusic.com]. 'OK Computer', Stanley Donwood's artwork and Radiohead's online community has been a big inspiration and motivation to keep this site going for 10 years now. Ten years later, ateaseweb.com is the biggest Radiohead site (according to alexa.com) and one of the bigger music websites. So , a big thanks to you all!
But I'd like to know what 'OK Computer' meant to you back then. When did you get the record? What were your first thoughts? Has it influenced you in any way? Is it really the best album of all time or even the best Radiohead album? The comments are open ;)
Stanley Donwood posted a new issue of his Taglibro. In number seven he talks about 'Pointless Platitudes', the new series of screenprints, which are apparently not finished yet. Two prints will soon be avaialable exclusively for picturesonwalls.com.
As you all know, there's still an exhibition running in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Stanley liked it in Rotterdam and yeah, Holland is flat. Stanley assured me he will be back in Europe soon. For now, you can still check out the exhibition in Rotterdam at V!P's Gallery: 'Department of Reclusive Paranoia'.
And then the new exhibition of new work opens in London (again at Lazarides) on June 15 with new work entitled 'If You Lived Here You'd Be Home By Now'. Stanley made seven new paintings and ten etchings and this will give you an idea of the direction of the upcoming Radiohead artwork.
Scottish Ballet is to premiere a production at Edinburgh International Festival, to the music of Radiohead.Choreographer Stephen Petronio, an avid fan of the band, has chosen to set Ride The Beast to their music, The Herald reports.
He has selected five tracks spanning Radiohead's career to "complement the layered complexity and primal nature of his new work", said Scottish Ballet.
The production will open with Fitter Happier, from the hugely successful OK Computer album, released a decade ago. Explaining his musical choice, Petronio said: "Radiohead's music is a brilliant investigation of achingly modern taste. They sail through genre and form effortlessly and passionately, and their music demands a physical response from me that by-passes reason. I have to live with music so intimately while creating with it, I simply have to work with music I love."
Petronio has previously formed partnerships with Rufus Wainwright, Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, James Lavelle and Wire.
Ride The Beast will be performed by Scottish Ballet at Edinburgh Playhouse from August 18 to 20.
The Easy All Stars, in support of their ever "Radiodread" and "Dub Side of the Moon" albums will hit the road this Summer in the UK
The tour kicks off in Bournemouth on July 13th, hitting various festivals and club dates, and ends up at "Bestival" on September 10th.
The band’s set draws extensively from ‘Radiodread,’ as well as from their previous hit record ‘Dub Side of the Moon’ and their own original material. The band will also soon hit the studio to record an EP of some of their original songs, which Easy Star Records plans to release by the end of the summer.

In April this year US music publishers, with the help of digital media giant Gracenote, launched a legal alternative for finding lyrics on the web.
Hosted by Yahoo!, the service will allow users to view lyrics from approximately 400,000 songs, and return to publishers a share of advertising revenue. Somehow it's now clear what Warner/Chappell meant back in 2003.
Here's an interesting article from The Guardian on the subject.
Ateaseweb.com reader Elizabeth Morringello, went to a book signing in New York City for "Assault On Reason" and (President) Al Gore very graciously signed her 7" vinyl of 'Go To Sleep'.
Elizabeth: "He pays careful attention to what he is asked to sign for obvious reasons. I was a bit shy and nervous with my request and I don't think he heard me clearly, so when I handed him the record, he paused and looked at it carefully. Then he signed it and said, "I love Radiohead". I said that I hoped that they would play the show in July that he is organizing and he said he hopes so too. I had two copies of the record, so I gave one of them to him."
