Bodysnatchers

Notes:

Bodysnatchers was long rumoured to be included on Radiohead's 7th album. Ed O'Brien first mentioned the song on Radiohead's Dead Air Space blog (October 22nd 2005):

"friday night ....... the end of a two week session .......riffs and fragments of the songs going round my head ...... its been great .... its always difficult to judge right now but i think we may have got 'bodysnatchers'"

Jonny Greenwood posted on the official message board on March 1st 2006:

"We're just finishing (Famous Last W's) Bodysnatchers. ather good so far....better not turn my guitar down."

On March 8th 2006 the song appeared on the studio's blackboard, which looked like a shortlist of tracks for the rehearsal sessions for Radiohead's 2006 tour.

Thom Yorke & Jonny Greenwood debuted Bodysnatchers at their gig for The Big Ask Live at London's Koko (May 1st 2006).

A full band version premiered on the band's first date of that tour at KB Hallen in Copenhagen on May 6th 2006.

On October 1st, 2007 the track was announced to appear on new album 'In Rainbows'. The band played the song live on their webcast "Thumbs Down" on November 9th, 2007.

In an interview with the Columbia Spectator, Ed O’Brien said: “Bodysnatchers” will always remind us of Tottenham House, a decrepit mansion where we recorded some of the album. This track reflects the weird energy of the house"
